Oil painting on canvas in 120x100cm format.
The painting presented during the solo exhibition "Equilibrium" - D'Alchemy Gallery - Warsaw, 2022
A subtle, minimalist painting, which at first glance, is associated with an abstract landscape, however, it is a sublime play of colors, planes and lines sometimes fading, other times putting a border.

MAJA GAJEWSKA
- born in 1982 in Lodz, graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Wroclaw (2001-2006), defended her master's degree at the Faculty of Graphic Arts (2006). Winner of the "Lorenzo il Magnifico" silver medal in the mixed media category for her work "Polish Women - Polish Swallows" at the 13th Florence Biennale 2021.
The artist works within oil painting, spatial installation, printmaking and drawing. Her painting is characterized by the search for new forms, lines and color spots. She rejects figurativeness in favor of internal construction.
In spatial installations, subject to strict form, she shifts the power of the works toward expression rather than concrete representations. The deliberate abandonment of the background makes the central part of the works a "tangle" of wire, from which emerge the outlines of human silhouettes, presented in an incomplete manner.
In the case of prints, a minimalist approach to form and color is evident.
Since 2013, she has been running her own Art Studio. In addition to solo and group exhibitions, her works also appear on the occasion of many cultural events, such as art fairs and festivals. The artist cooperates with art galleries, undertakes collaborations with interior designers and architectural studios. Her works are in private collections in Austria, Belgium, France, Spain, Canada, Sweden, the UK and the US, among others.
